Walk from the Adelaide city center to discover the urban oasis that is the Adelaide Botanic Garden. Once here, visit the Palm House, a Victorian glasshouse containing Malagasy arid plant life. Enter the fragrant National Rose Trial Garden to see the different rose varieties that can grow in the local climate. Stand in the curvilinear-glass Bicentennial Conservatory and observe a delicate ecosystem including noisy pittas birds, spiders, and centipedes. • My husband and I went here after walking around the city. It is not very big , but still worthwhile the visit. A ;lovely experience for both of us.  more »
  • Our stay in Adelaide was brief and we were blessed with sunny (yet windy) weather during the day and decided to visit the gardens. They were a lovely respite - clean, well tended paths and a great lit...  more »

  • Beautiful, peaceful and tranquil. Always something new to discover. Been going since I was a child and it still holds the same fascination for me. Make sure you visit the big fish pond in the Amazon Waterlily Pavilion (next to the museum) and say hi to the ducks in the pond. If you have children a roll down the small hill by the old palm house is a must.
  • Beautiful garden with so many things to see. Excellent for a picnic or a stroll with family, kids or just by yourself to collect your thoughts. There's a Botanic museum which is interesting and lots of history with a section on medicinal plants and herbs.
  • Nice place to visit and relax. They are currently fixing the old observatory. The Museum of Economic Botany was interesting place to visit. Very close to the heart of the city and only a 10 minute walk to the SA Art Gallery.
  • Gardeners won’t let me do heroin in the toilets. Invasion of my privacy you fackwits. Portable speakers aren’t allowed here either. When I’m MP I’m going to change this place for the better.
  • The most beautiful gardens in the world. Lovely place to explore and relax. Great choices for meals. There is a wondetful education centre
