  • Everyone who goes to Brisbane comes here. It has a great view over the city during the day or at night. Parking is difficult, so just park along the road with everyone else.  more »
  • I took the bus from Brisbane city to the look out. Bus 417 was the direct route ($4.70). Problem of taking the bus is that you’re limited by their schedule, which is about once per hour coming down fr...  more »

  • I wasn't expecting much and was pleasantly surprised. Went for a morning walk through the bush as I was up in Brisbane early and ended up at the lookout. Really is a great spot and a fantastic view over the city. Would also recommend doing some of the walks up to it instead of driving, a nice experience all round and will do it again
  • Mt. Cootha is one of the best places to visit in Brisbane. The picturesque views, the grandeur of Brisbane in a panorama and the company of your loved ones, makes it an amazing experience to dwell in. It is place which is phenomenal to visit, round the year. It has everything to offer for people of any age and status. Additionally, it is being equipped with two good restaurants and bar, which serves quality food and drinks. It's always memorable to have a chilled beer in summer or a hot cup of latte in winter, with some majestic views in front of you. Adding icing to the cake, is the scenic drive, which leads you to 942 ft above sea level. Indeed, a memorable place to relive yourself from the hustle and bustle of the city/sub-urban life, to experience tranquility with nature.
  • Wonderful opportunity to look over the City of Brisbane. Great lookout for photo opportunities & the cafe has good food plus you can even have a beverage. There is a lovely restaurant with the best food & you can sit alfresco or inside when it's a cooler night. But perfect views from all areas.
  • This is the best place to see all of Brisbane, from the high rise buildings to nearly all the suburbs. Also a great base to start or finish bush walks. Great takeaway food place with a variety of foods and ice cream selection to get a scoop of. As well as an up market restaurant for formal meals that also has a function room below it for weddings, parties and other occasions. There is also a tourist shop with quite affordable souvenirs. This includes T-Shirts for as low $19.99, other clothes and the usual - magnets, spoons, pins, plastic and stuffed toys etc. The parking includes space for buses, cars, motorbikes, push bikes and handicap parking. All the shops and restaurants are wheelchair accessible. I found the staff to be very pleasant and exceptionally helping when asked questions. I highly recommend you also travel along the top of the range to visit the nearby parks and bush trails. Also you will be able to see the television towers and TV station headquarters for the major channels (channel 10, channel 9, channel 7, the ABC and SBS) Below the lookout I also recommend you visit two other major attractions of Brisbane - the Botanical Gardens and the Planetarium. Located across the road from the historic Brisbane/Toowong Cemetery. All in all the Mt Coot-tha, Brisbane Look Out is in my opinion a must visit attraction and one of the top five places to visit and experience. But most importantly it is Free 🙂
  • Love taking all our interstate visitors up there to see the view. We go day or night time. Picnic on the lawn, get coffee and meals, casual or restaurant quality. We even walk up from the Botanical gardens or JC Slaughter falls to the Summit, have a bite to eat and walk back. Love it.
