  • This gallery has a wonderful and extensive collection of art works and admission is free! The art works are housed in a modern building, which in itself is a work of art, displaying the collection to its best advantage. In addition to its permanent collection, the gallery often has a travelling exhibition from other galleries (there is often a charge to see these). The Queensland Art Gallery is a "must see" for any visitor to Brisbane.
  • This gallery specifically celebrates the diversity of firstly Australian art and embraces the rich tapestry of international artists. The Art Gallery of Queensland, although smaller than some of the other national galleries still offers a rich gamut of culturally iconic works in a wide range of media. It is well worth a visit.
  • QAG has an amazing array of art. It is well displayed and gave me a new perspective on styles I had seen previously. The current exhibition of Picasso etchings is dazzling. Seeing 100 pieces of his work in one room gave me a rare opportunity to study his work. I returned for a second day to take it in again.
  • Artworks are displayed very well. A great space, used sensibly. Picasso exhibition is probably for those already with an interest in the artist. However, there is great variety. Gems amongst the more mundane.
  • Delicate and simple the QLD art gallery has a wide view of the Rhodium and contemporary art galleries in the entire southern hemisphere of the world. With a surreal twist and flare the QLD art gallery is worth a visit for all that appreciate the design of art and quite appreciation for local artists and their friends The indigenous art display certainly will never disappoint anyone who has the opportunity to view this exquisite art style The perfectly friendly and professional security staff of the gallery are always helpful for anyone who has questions about the direction the gallery has taken and how to avoid embarrassing pitfalls like myself who nearly walked out with a couple of Brett Whiteleys under my arm hahaha well done boys and girls for a brilliant venue Enter via souvenir shop and may be grab a post card of your favorite art work Cameras allowed and family friendly including the little people who have been there to experience of their own art injection of fun No video allowed which is good RIGHT NOW PICASSO LEAD PRINTS DISPLAYED IN THE NEW WING OF THE GALLERY
