#Nature / Park, #Must See
Sitting on 5 hectares (12.35 acres) by Mena Creek Falls, Paronella Park is the exquisite park Jose Paronella made a reality. To learn about the 7,500 tropical plants and trees that cover the park, take a 45-minute guided tour to hear the story of the park's creation before embarking on a self-guided botanical walk. Admire the castle and relax in the picnic area by the falls, and perhaps stay until the evening for a photo session on the flood-lit grounds. A visit to Paronella Park represents just the start of the adventure when you use our Mena Creek trip builder app to plot your vacation.

  • $45pp entry fee which lasts a whole year. But then again, I don't think I would ever return here. I think they use the 1 year entry as a reason to push-up the price. Attraction is plainly overpriced and over-hyped. The only people rating this with a 5 star rating are all the elderly and history buffs. Guided tour is OK so that at least you can explore the place with some guidance. Would not recommend unless you've seen every other attraction around Cairns and are dying to part with your money. Not my thing, would not recommend, and would definitely not return. Sorry to the staff who work here but nothing personal; it's just not my thing.
  • Worth the trip, wasn't aware it was $45pp for entry but you do get a guide that talks to you for 45 minutes about the history of the beautiful place. You will also get some fish food to feed the turtles and fish, great fun and adds to the experience. Would highly recommend going early so if you want to take pictures you have the perfect opportunity. Well worth the visit.
  • The night tours are not to be missed. The free camping was an added bonus, as we planned to stay elsewhere then visit. The sights were spectacular. The owner is such a genuine person with a fantastic vision, combined with a real respect for the property's history. What is included in entry to this magnificent place is amazing and well worth the trip. I felt my inner child come out to play on the night tour. It felt like something out of a princess movie. Think Jungle Book meets Anastasia. We'll definitely be using our 2 year free pass (another amazing inclusion) to bring family and friends back.
  • We drove almost 2 hours to there from Cairns with GPS. It’s not difficult but the reception around the park was poor. We have joined the guided tour and were impressed by their high quality and passion! The place was full of history and touching stories. It was really worth to go and I highly recommend it!
  • Nice tour explaining the history which is genuinely interesting. The advertising photos aren't as is it which I felt was a little misleading there are alot of areas that are closed of due to safety concerns. Beautiful waterfall. Feeding fish and turtles. $45 per adult for tour!
