  • I didn't go there on the best day, it was cloudy and extremely windy but still a nice view of Melbourne from where I was standing. A nice walk along the beach and I was lucky enough to see some little penguins having fun in the water and between the rocks à bit further down. All in all a nice place to be for a little while and for a breathe of fresh air!
  • This is one of the closest beach from the city. Very easy to reach by public transport, you can get tram from all major places in city and travel till St Kilda beach. Very good place to hangout and have a picnic. Very good during sunsets. You can also walk along the pier to reach end if pier, after sunset you could sight many penguins walking around, this is best part of the st Kilda. It's also a good costal walk from st Kilda to Brighton beach. You can also have a good city skyline view from the pier.
  • LOVE the beach. Nice old school shops nearby. Variety of old school bakeries there. Beach is clean and there a Luna park nearby . It is a short tram ride from Melbourne CBD, highly recommended for a tourist. :-)
  • Good by Melbourne standards hehe. Easily assessable. The water feels more lake or river than beach. There are a few rocky areas in the water and a nice broad walk.
  • Best beach by far. Great to watch the wind surfers. Nice clean fresh air. Doesn't smell like some beaches do.
