Settled by colonists and convicts in 1829, Fremantle has transformed its infamous historical buildings into cultural centers.
Kick off your visit on the 7th (Thu): contemplate the long history of Fremantle Prison, then enjoy the sand and surf at Cottesloe Beach, then tour the pleasant surroundings at City Beach, and finally contemplate the long history of The Fremantle Round House.

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Fri): stroll through Hamelin Bay, look for all kinds of wild species at Sunflowers Animal Farm, and then indulge your taste buds at McHenry Hohnen Vintners. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: take in the dramatic natural features at Canal Rocks, then stroll through Meelup Beach, and then get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 10th (Sun): enjoy the sand and surf at Middleton Beach, pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, and then get great views at Padre White Lookout. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 11th (Mon): kick back and relax at Little Beach, look for all kinds of wild species at Kalgan River, then stroll through Emu Point, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at The Church of Saint John the Evangelist.
