Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Mona and Hobart Convict Penitentiary. Cascades Female Factory Historic Site and Battery Point Sculpture Trail will appeal to history buffs. Go for a jaunt from Hobart to Brighton to see Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary about 30 minutes away. Next up on the itinerary: take in the awesome beauty at Mount Wellington, step off the mainland to explore Macquarie Island, take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, and enjoy the sand and surf at Opossum Bay Beach.

Singapore, Singapore to Hobart is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Singapore Time to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Tasmania), which is usually a 2 hour difference. Prepare for colder weather when traveling from Singapore in November: high temperatures in Hobart hover around 22°C and lows are around 11°C. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 24th (Sat) so you can go by car to Port Arthur.

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
On the 26th (Mon), stroll through Wineglass Bay Lookout, take in the waterfront at Coles Bay Jetty, and then enjoy the sand and surf at Honeymoon Bay. On your second day here, learn about winemaking at Gala Estate Vineyard and then enjoy the sand and surf at Friendly Beaches.

Drive from Port Arthur to Coles Bay in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 27th (Tue) to allow time to drive to Launceston.
