Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll get in some beach time at Middleton Beach and Emu Point. You'll discover tucked-away gems like Dolphin & Whale Watching and Little Beach. There's still lots to do: steep yourself in history at The Albany Convict Gaol & Museum, pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, admire the striking features of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist, and step aboard HMAS Perth.

Start off your visit on the 11th (Wed): get engrossed in the history at Broome Historical Museum, take a tour by water with Boat Tours & Water Sports, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Catholic Diocese of Broome.
