Queensland’s biggest town and state capital, Brisbane has an attractive, manicured image based around its riverside aesthetic as well as the contrast between its high-rise center and extensive urban greenery.
Visit Burleigh Head National Park and Kurrawa Beach for some beach relaxation. Your inner history buff will appreciate New Govardhana Australia and Catholic Old St. Stephen's Church (chapel). You'll find plenty of places to visit near Brisbane: Scuba & Snorkeling (in Mooloolaba), Springbrook (Natural Bridge & Springbrook National Park) and Caloundra (Kings Beach & Bulcock Beach). On the 17th (Wed), dedicate a day to the elevated beauty of Main Range National Park. And it doesn't end there: trek along Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve, take in the dramatic scenery at Kondalilla Falls, kick back and relax at Surfer's Paradise Beach, and steep yourself in history at Wolston Farmhouse.

If you are flying in from United States, the closest major airports are Brisbane International Airport and Gold Coast Airport. April in Brisbane sees daily highs of 78°F and lows of 61°F at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 17th (Wed) to allow time to travel back home.
