The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Melbourne Museum and Shrine of Remembrance will appeal to museum buffs. Get some historical perspective at Old Melbourne Gaol and Sovereign Hill. Venture out of the city with trips to The Great Ocean Road (in Torquay), Moonlit Sanctuary Wildlife Conservation Park (in Pearcedale) and Chelsea Beach (in Chelsea). Spend the 8th (Fri) wandering through the wild on a nature and wildlife tour. Spend the 17th (Sun) exploring nature at Kinglake National Park. The adventure continues: wander the streets of Melbourne Central, admire the natural beauty at Melbourne Zoo, enjoy the sand and surf at Sandridge Beach, and look for all kinds of wild species at Trin Warren Tam-boore.

If you are flying in from Singapore, the closest major airport is Melbourne International Airport. Expect a daytime high around 30°C in March, and nighttime lows around 15°C. Cap off your sightseeing on the 20th (Wed) early enough to travel back home.
