Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Get some historical perspective at Cascades Female Factory Historic Site and Battery Point. We've included these beaches for you: Long Beach and Seven Mile Beach. Step out of Hobart to go to Brighton and see Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, which is approximately 30 minutes away. There's much more to do: take your sightseeing to a higher altitude at Mount Wellington, enjoy the sand and surf at Opossum Bay Beach, examine the collection at Mona, and buy something for everyone on your list at Cat and Fiddle Arcade.

Fuzhou, China to Hobart is an approximately 23-hour flight. The time zone changes from China Standard Time to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Tasmania), which is usually a 2 hour difference. In July, Hobart is cooler than Fuzhou - with highs of 15°C and lows of 4°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 11th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Port Arthur.

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
Get outdoors at Wineglass Bay Lookout and Coles Bay Jetty. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Friendly Beaches and Honeymoon Bay. Spend the 16th (Mon) exploring nature at Freycinet National Park.
