Lent iconic status as a result of its famous bridge and opera house, Sydney has a down-to-earth charm that enhances its spectacular setting and functional efficiency.
Step out of the city life by going to Bouddi National Park and Wentworth Falls. Step off the beaten path and head to Nan Tien Temple and Coachwood Glen Nature Trail. Explore Sydney's surroundings by going to Norah Head Lighthouse (in Norah Head), Terrigal Beach (in Terrigal) and Shelly Beach (in Manly). There's lots more to do: see majestic marine mammals with a dolphin and whale watching tour, tour the pleasant surroundings at Australian Reptile Park, kick back and relax at Palm Beach, and hike along The Giant Stairway.
