A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
You'll get in some beach time at Yallingup Beach and Surfers Point. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Meelup Beach and Jewel Cave. Go for a jaunt from Margaret River to Eagle Bay to see Wise Wine about 42 minutes away. Step off the beaten path and head to Anvil Beach and Ocean Beach. Relax by the water at Lowlands Beach and Greens Pool. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Denmark: Albany (The Gap and Natural Bridge & Misery Beach) and Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup).
