Albany

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Princess Royal Fortress and Dolphin & Whale Watching. Visit Little Beach, Two Peoples Bay Nature Reserve and Middleton Beach for some beach relaxation. It doesn't end there: take in the dramatic natural features at The Gap and Natural Bridge and tour the pleasant surroundings at Emu Point.

To see maps, ratings, traveler tips, and other tourist information, use the Albany road trip site .

Manchester, UK to Albany is an approximately 25-hour flight. You can also do a combination of train and flight; or do a combination of flight, train, and bus. Due to the time zone difference, you'll lose 8 hours traveling from Manchester to Albany. Traveling from Manchester in October, you will find days in Albany are a bit warmer (23°C), and nights are about the same (10°C). Wrap up your sightseeing by early afternoon on the 5th (Sat) to allow enough time to travel to Kununurra.
