You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Trinity Beach and Palm Cove Beach. You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Kirra Beach and Coolangatta Beach. When in Gold Coast, make a side trip to see Cape Byron Walking Track in Byron Bay, approximately 1h 30 min away. Pack the 23rd (Sun) with family-friendly diversions at Dreamworld. You can fly from Cairns to Gold Coast in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of flight and train; or drive. In December, Gold Coast is little chillier than Cairns - with highs of 32°C and lows of 22°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 24th (Mon) to allow enough time to drive to Noosa.
