Lent iconic status as a result of its famous bridge and opera house, Sydney has a down-to-earth charm that enhances its spectacular setting and functional efficiency.
Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Bondi Beach and Coogee Beach. Take a break from the city and head to Bondi to Coogee Beach Coastal Walk and Sydney Charter Boat Hire. There's much more to do: stroll through Manly Beach, kick back and relax at Camp Cove, take in the views from Sydney Harbour Bridge, and catch a live performance at Sydney Opera House.

Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
Start off your visit on the 15th (Mon): stroll through Broken Head Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Wategos Beach, and then stroll through Cape Byron Walking Track. On your second day here, get great views at Broken Head Nature Reserve, glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and then paddle through the water with a kayaking and canoeing tour.

A neat, cosmopolitan city of shaded plazas and laid-back neighborhoods, Cairns serves as a popular base for exploration of the surrounding region and the Great Barrier Reef, as well as a center for watersport activities like surfing or waterskiing.
You'll enjoy a bit of beach vacationing at Trinity Beach and Palm Cove Beach. Get outdoors at Scuba & Snorkeling and Shaolin Junk Cruises. Step out of Cairns with an excursion to Australian Butterfly Sanctuary in Kuranda--about 36 minutes away.
