Sydney to Hamilton Island is an approximately 4-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and ferry. Getting from Hamilton Island to Airlie Beach by ferry takes about an hour. Other options: do a combination of ferry and bus. In April, daily temperatures in Airlie Beach can reach 31°C, while at night they dip to 26°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 26th (Thu) to allow enough time to travel back home.
