Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll get in some beach time at Anvil Beach and Misery Beach. Step out of the city life by going to Lowlands Beach and Nanarup Beach. Explore the numerous day-trip ideas around Albany: Cosy Corner Beach (in Kronkup) and Denmark (Ocean Beach & Greens Pool).
