Byron Bay
Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
Get outdoors at Cape Byron Walking Track and Wategos Beach. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Broken Head Beach and Pippi Beach. Change things up with a short trip to Turners Beach in Yamba (about 1h 45 min away). Spend the 5th (Fri) exploring nature at Arakwal National Park. There's still lots to do: get great views at Broken Head Nature Reserve.

Noosa

Noosa
Known for its "green" development and north-facing beach, Noosa is a natural getaway.
Relax by the water at Noosa Main Beach and Mooloolaba Beach. Visiting Noosa National Park and Kings Beach will get you outdoors. Change things up with a short trip to Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary Reserve in Bli Bli (about 38 minutes away). There's still lots to do: tour the pleasant surroundings at Peregian Beach.
