The state of Victoria crown jewel, Melbourne boasts shaded streets, leafy residential neighborhoods, vibrant street life, and a picturesque city center.
Shrine of Remembrance and Sovereign Hill will appeal to history buffs. National Gallery of Victoria and Immigration Museum will appeal to museum buffs. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Melbourne: The Great Ocean Road (in Torquay), Werribee Open Range Zoo (in Werribee) and Brighton Beach (in Brighton).
