  • This is an interesting garden with many different types of plants. To be honest, just enjoyed the walk in a pleasant park. It is very hilly, so be prepared to go up and down a lot.  more »
  • I met up with a couple of other mums and new babies and had my 2.5 year old with me as well. It was perfect. We had a quick coffee and bite to eat at cafe then explored the many gardens. It was beauti...  more »

  • Such a beautiful place. Would've spent more time here if my feet didn't hurt after walking around for 3 hours already! I love that this place is free and extremely well-kept. We went on a day where there was a watercolour painting event held at this community building attached to the library. Highly recommend!
  • Stopped by on the way down from the Mt Coot-Tha Lookout. We did an initial drive through but it looked like the main areas were under construction. We had a quick stop at the lookout by the quarry before stopping at the car park. Had a quick walk around the grounds which were quite nice, even with the construction. Stopped by one of the wedding venues so my nephew could have a little crawl around the area. Wasn't able to spend much time here but could see it being a nice place for a walk.
  • There's so much to see. If you're taking family around, make sure to allow more than an hour! I loved the Japanese section most of all and just loved the whole thing. It was well-maintained, well-signed and even its signs were well maintained. Having the Planetarium here is such a huge plus. I wish more than two buses stopped here though!!! 599/598 (Great Circle line) depending on which way you're coming from, and the 471 (could be 475 - someone else can fact check this!)
  • Bring the family, go with friends and tell the world... unquestionably one of the most astonishing, astoundingly beautiful places you will ever attend... anywhere! A love of flowers, trees and plants maybe a pre-requisite for that level of love, but even if you just want a walk, this will do you real good. It’s always busy, but because it’s a big place it doesn’t seem that way. Outside of countless opportunities for beautiful photos, you can indulge in comforting cake and coffee in the cafe, which was, in itself, unforgettable.
  • As you enter into the lush and vibrant gardens for the first time, it’s like entering another world. They have gardens mimicking locations from all over the greater globe. My favourites being the desert plains filled with cactus and drought stricken plant life, and also the polar opposite world created in the tranquil Japanese garden with a grand pond and dense greenery surroundings. If you follow the path up through the rainforest, you will come to an area with a shelter that has picnic tables under it, and a massive platform reaching out into the trees. This has a stunning view of the city beyond. The gardens also plays host to the sunset/twilight cinema in the summertime. It’s definitely a beautiful location for it.
