  • The Egyptian display was perfect. The different floors of exhibits will keep adults and kids alike very interested and busy. There was a multitude of different displays to suit every bodies likes and wants regarding Australian wildlife, sea wildlife and dinosaurs too. The staff where exceptional. I could have stayed there all day.
  • Excellent day out with the family. Kept us all engaged for hours. Recommend the Egyptian display too. Such a great collection of artifacts, well laid out with explanations and history. Good parking, nice cafe, a great day out. I remember seeing wheelchair facilities too. Please like this review if it helped you out.
  • Thoroughly enjoyed the 'Egyptian Mummies'. Another very well put together event. Interesting and informative. Great layout also. Ticketed and timed event which works well for the space allocated. Great that these special Museum attractions run long enough, to give all that are interested the chance to come and view. And I have noticed wheelchair friendly. Because inclusion is important to the Museum obviously.
  • I have been to the museum a number of times over the years and most recently to see the mummy exhibit. It's a great place to bring the whole family for a day of fun and learning. Entry to the museum is free although they usually have special exhibits that you have to pay for to see (such as the mummy exhibit). There are plenty of interactive exhibits for a more hands on experience and the dinosaur section is always a hit with the kids. The museum also has a cafe on site that serves good food and coffee if you need a refuel and there is a souvenir shop at the entrance with a variety things to choose from.
  • I was really disappointed with this museum. There were only 2 areas open when I visited (3/9/18) - one with fossils and one with stuffed animals. There didn't seem to be anything else to see (other than a huge shop). Lots of other areas were cordoned off to take down or set up other exhibits. I expected to learn about the history of Queensland but I left none the wiser. Compared to other museums I've visited around the world this was very poor. 2 stars just cos it's free and the fossil display was interesting (even tho several just consisted of signs saying 'removed for preservation'...).
