Broome Camel Safaris (BCS) has been operating since 1994 and was started by Alison and Allen Bird.

Alison has over 30 years experience working with camels and 7 years trekking in the Australian Outback!

Alison's Camel's are loved and treated with the upmost respect and care. We take tours along the stunning Cable Beach Monday - Saturday for both a half hour pre-sunset ride and an hour long sunset ride giving you the chance to relax and enjoy the beautiful surroundings and fantastic sunsets.

With every ride all ladies receive a complimentary pair of Pearl Stud earrings and the chance to meet our friendly Camels! Booking is essential as numbers are always high. For more info or to make a booking please call or for long distance bookings go to our e-mail address.

  • A wonderful experience! Me and my friend Lucy went to Cable Beach one day to see the camels and it was love at first sight, they are beautiful beautiful and funny animals so we decided to take the 30min camel walk on the beach before sunset the day after. The animals are really very well treated and taken care of by their owner Alison who has a deep knowledge about the camels and her helpers. It's really relaxing to ride these animals and watch how they peacefully move along. Every member of the team is very nice and happy to tell you everything you want to know about these great animals! Definetely a great and fun thing to do in Broome!
  • Overall a great experience, all the staff were super friendly and chatty as you went on the camel ride making you feel welcomed. One thing to note is that some camels don't like to be patted as they are defensive such as the one we rode, Jabu. We were also instructed not to mount the camels at the start and that we would be helped onto them yet some people didn't listen and mounted the camels without the staff present so Alison had every right to tell those people off.
