King Leopold Air first took to the Kimberley skies back in 1992 as a small charter company based on a pastoral station close to its namesake - the spectacular King Leopold Ranges. Today the company benefits from an extensive aircraft engineering background and has seen much expansion in both the commercial and leisure tourism sectors. Experienced pilots are additionally trained as tour guides in order to provide a comprehensive and informative insight into the stunning Kimberley landscape.
Booking office staff are hand picked for their local knowledge and are able to provide valuable assistance in itinerary and tour planning around the Kimberley.
Bookings and enquiries may be made by email, telephone, fax, internet or call into our office at 9 Gus Winckel Rd, Broome International Airport. The office is open 9am till 5pm, 7 days a week.

We operate Cessna 210 and Cessna 206 aircraft, which are an ideal aircraft for the Kimberley conditions. These are usually fitted with 5 passenger seats and have a high wing design, which creates greater stability and allows optimum viewing. This type of aircraft can also cover great distances very quickly, making them ideal for charters and tours into even the most remote and often inaccessible Kimberley regions.
Each passenger has a window seat and a personal headset to listen to the pilot's commentary. Pilots usually circle landmarks of interest, so that passengers maximise photo opportunities.

Great small tour - only 4 + pilot in our group in a 6 seat plane - over some amazing scenery. We went on the buccaneer tour, which took about half a day with a great lunch in an area we wouldn't have seen otherwise. Our pilot Nick was very helpful and provided good commentary for the tour.
We had such a good experience with King Leopold Air back in October, professional and curtious from the first enquiry to drop off back at our accommodation. Our pilot even baked a cake for my mother in law, whose birthday was celebrated the week we were in Broome. Cannot recommend enough.
