  • Great views of the ocean and wonderful history of the lighthouse. We went during the day but I understand sunset is beautiful.  more »
  • A brilliant place to visit with stunning views and lots to see. You can walk as little or as much as you like. It is even better at sunset.  more »

  • Nice views, very limited car parking space. Best to park further down and walk up. There's a few car parking spaces on the road leading up to the light house and a few on the road leading away from the light house. The roads are one way near the top. If I recall correctly it was about $4.50 to park for an hour on one of the roads leading away from the house. You can park the car, walk up the a look around, a few photos and get back to your car in 30 minutes.
  • Definitely a must see!!! I recommend doing sunset or sunrise here. Sunset is neat because you'll see the light from the lighthouse turn on after the sun goes down with is neat. Beautiful views from all angles as you can see. You can either drive up to the lighthouse or park along the way and take the scenic walk around Byron Bay (either way you do it I do highly recommend doing the scenic walk). Make sure to make it out to the easterly most point along the trail!
  • Great place lookout with a trail that is interesting. A pretty long walks with steep downs and ups but with handrails and steps. The view are not to be missed. Really beautiful. Sometimes you get to see dolphins turtles or even humpback whales passing by. Please do not do that on a weekend or holiday. Very crowded.
  • Nice historic landmark with an amazing view and interesting history. Unfortunately the local shire has turned it into a tourist trap with a ranger stopping you on the way in and charging a small fortune to visit. Not much to do other than enjoy the view. There are lighthouse tours but they are small groups and you would be doing very well to get a ticket.
  • We had an awesome time exploring around the lighthouse and taking the track down to the beach. We were lucky enough to have several groups of dolphins and whales playing just off shore. The only downside is the lack of car parks. You are better off parking at the beach and trekking up to the lighthouse. Overall a great day out.
