Trip Planner: Australia / South Australia / Greater Adelaide / Adelaide Hills / Crafers / Cleland Wildlife Park
A large national park just 20 minutes from the city center, Cleland Wildlife Park offers visitors a chance to get up-close and personal with Australia's native fauna. You can feed most animals at this site, or wander at you leisure among kangaroos, wallabies, emus, and waterfowl. There are several displays of dingoes, reptiles, wombats, and koalas, as well as large aviaries housing a variety of native birds. The park is home to a few endangered species, such the bush stone-curlew and bush-tailed bettong. Be sure to advantage of the rare opportunity to be photographed holding a koala, under supervision from the park's wildlife officers. Park facilities include a souvenir shop, cafe, and toilets. Cleland Wildlife Park Reviews
A must do! We visited Adelaide for only 3 days as part of our Month long Australia trip, and this is our highlight so far. We visited another wildlife place in Sydney which was no where near as good! ... more »
You can even hold a koala or even just stroke it. We decided to hold a Koala .. This is possible from 14:00 ... But ACHTING .. They only give 10 people the opportunity and so we were very lucky that there were not many people and we were queuing 45 minutes before ... But it was worth it for us and the supervisors deal so lovingly with the animals and they take a lot of time ...
Great family day out. Relaxing stroll through the park to see what the park has to offer. We went on a very hot day so many of the animals were relaxing under the shade of the trees or in the case of the wombats underground. Non the less it was a lovely day feeding the kangaroos, seeing the Koalas, emus who all appeared well cared for. For a family of 4 it was well priced, staff at the reception desk lovely and very helpful, the ability to take a picnic lunch along was a bonus in a lovely setting for a great day out.
Beautiful place! Good place to bring kids. Wonderful experience with a walk between the kangaroos. There is a possibility to buy food and feed animals. For an extra charge, you can hold the koala and photograph with them. The building has a restaurant and a souvenir shop. Best attraction in Adelaide!
