Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour, Fremantle

4.5
Though a commercial marina, Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is pretty spectacular in its own right. See where large fishing boats dock and discover what makes the fishing industry tick. The harbor was built in 1919, but remains an important part in the city’s development today. A few years ago, up to 120 fishing boats were housed in the harbor. Be sure to take a look at the boat-lifting facility. What was before a fish market is now a modern tourist precinct, with restaurants and breweries. Art installations floating at the water make for a memorable photo opportunity, as does the statue of Bon Scott, front man of Australian band ACDC. Try the fish and chips at one of the restaurants or walk over to the Big Wheel for some family entertainment. • Nice enough place. Great smell of brine in the air along with seafood... One of those nostalgic scents that brings back childhood
  • One of the best spot in Perth to spend quality time in the weekend, enjoying sumptuous seafood lunch while admiring the beautiful and serene scenery of the pier.
  • This whole area is so picturesque, inviting and pretty. The boardwalk is lined up with boutique eateries, all very casual, serving up some of the best seafood dishes. This place was humming with activity on a hot Saturday afternoon with locals taking in what was left of their summer. Overall, our experience was so fantastic that we will be going back in April, but this time via ferry from Perth.
