  • It is a credit card payment accepted. No fees. Koala had let me hold was a very cute face. After holding the name, age and weight to hear back. Because it had no customers in the US after long time hug, didn't need to shoot on their Smartphone. I heard that (filmed in the video) by our friends in the Centre of Cairns corelphoto hug is is like an assembly line, 抱kenakatta only about 5 seconds. Be in style and serve with both hands at the navel and not only the bottom part of the Koala. So, if you hold a koala at Cairns we recommend here. Photo reflection (quality) get taken here by the way, was not so good.

  • This is a small wildlife park, but you can get up close and personal with the animals. There are quite a few koalas, and, for an extra fee, you can hold one and get your photo taken. The photographer ...  more »
  • Educational and good fun. The people obviously care for the animals and love to talk about them. Our group of 4 adults enjoyed our visit  more »

  • I absolutely loved this place. You get to experiences Australia's famous wildlife first hand. The wallaby and kangaroo enclosure is awesome. You can just sit and hang out while the little guys hop around you and eat from your hands. The koala experience was a little disappointing. They hand you a koala, snap a picture and take him away immediately. Would be nice if they let you enjoy the experience for a minute. Also the handler didn't seem to thrilled about having to do this part of the gig. Overall the facility is well maintained. Animals looked happy, clean and healthy (don't let other comments fool you, they're animals they don't smell perfectly shampooed). Staff was incredibly kind. Highly recommend getting the early 830 am bus from cairns. It's $7 and I was the only person in the park for about an hour until the tourists flooded in. Would 100% go bacj
  • The Kuranda Koala Gardens is situated in the village of Kuranda near Cairns in Australia's Northern Territory. This is among a few other attractions there for visitors to enjoy. This place is basically a petting zoo where you can touch the indigenous animals and take pictures with them. Great for families with small children. Be sure to wash your child's hand thoroughly after touching the koalas as they don't seem to be keeping the animals clean! The overall experience was good however the animal keeper and caretaker should be a little more patient with the children, my child got yelled at for venturing into the open wallaby enclosure!
  • Really fun place. Lots of koalas. You have to pay a little more to hold a koala. They take a picture or two and tell you how to hold them so they don't freak out. A neat experience if you enjoy this sort of thing.
  • Wonderful experience!! We went early as recommended in previous reviews and had the park all to ourselves! Staff was very friendly and took many pictures on my camera of me holding the koala. Animals appear healthy and are not scared of humans. Worth the trip if you want to actually hold a koala and go early- as we were leaving busses full of tourists were arriving.
  • If you live in Australia this isn't anything thing special if anything it's on the small side. On the other hand 9f your from overseas or haven't seen any of the native animals before this would make a nice visit. Also is good if you are short on time you can see it all in about 20min.
