A wide-ranging, attractive, and well-organized nature park and visitor center, Granite Gorge Nature Park affords you the opportunity to observe indigenous species, such as rock wallabies and possums, as well as to safely explore the local wilderness. Several swimming holes and paths are marked out, so the park offers plenty of scope for those preferring to wander rather than interact with the wildlife. You can also camp on location at this lush, picturesque park, and avail yourself of the center’s shower and kitchen facilities. Granite Gorge Nature Park Reviews
Was given the brochure in Yangaburra and told it was worth seeing. There was no mention of any charge on the brochure! We were only wanting to have a quick look, not wanting to spend 45 mins plus to d... more »
Ein toller, ganz naturnaher Campingplatz. Es ist alles da, was man braucht. Abends und nachts muss man aufpassen nicht über die zutraulichen Wallabies zu stolpern. Und dann die Schlucht. Großartig. It is fun and impressive to climb over the granite rocks and balls. Absolutely go there. Experience value even without an overnight stay.
I have been visiting here off and on this year. The first time I went on the hike it was really hard and I was confused. Since then I know every nook and cranny of the long hike and I can take it running. When my friends have Japanese students they ask me to take them there. It's a really good place to learn there personality's and become friends. But I do only recommend it for the the Japanese guys 😋 Usually when we get back home they ask me how in the world I do ( being a girl and all)🙃lol
Great spot for camping, good facilities and very helpful staff. Electric and water, clean kitchens, bbq and toilet blocks. Great showers all at a fair $18 pp with power. Quite basic layout which was fine for us but this is the end of the dry season so it's not very green yet. Entry to the Gorge is included and feeding the wild Wallabies is an absolute treat. Swimming in the dammed river is a gift in the 33'c we hit in November.
