  • Unclean and messy. The lockers and showers not clean enough. Lockers dirty inside. Apparently no one clean this area. Staff and bags left on the benches around the pool. Messy and ugly. Some swimming ...  more »

  • Very disappointing customer service! My husband and I bring our baby daughter to the sea baths every week for a swim. It’s quite expensive at $26 plus $6p/hr for parking but we like that it’s salt water, indoors & the water is warm for our bubba. The change rooms are filthy and you can literally see a film of filth on the spa so we avoid using both. This week while I was in the water my baby grabbed my pearl earring out of my ear & dropped it in the water. I tried to look for it but without goggles it was useless. So I brought some very expensive goggles, the cheapest they had were $25 & walked back to my bag. Before I had a chance to even open the goggles I realised the earring was down my bathers. I tried to return the goggles, literally 1 minute after buying them. First they told me their system couldn’t do returns, then they told me they couldn’t refund goggles, even though they knew I hadn’t opened them, so I asked if they could give me a voucher instead - again the answer was no. Really pathetic way to treat a customer. I’ll be looking for a new place to swim.
  • My daughter has swimming lessons here, which I highly recommend, but I find the facilities quite lacking otherwise. The women's changing room is a dingy little place and usually fairly filthy, and it isn't family friendly at all. There's no real space to change and dress the baby (because the change area is so pokey and no family cubical where I can place my daughter safely whilst I get ready myself) so we usually just change at the side of the pool (where there's two change tables and it's bright and open). Another gripe I have is the ridiculous amount of chlorine in the pool. It stings your eyes the second you walk in. I understand the need for chlorine but it doesn't seem the pool chemistry is tested or balanced properly. One other thing that could be changed is the lane set up. Two thirds of the pool is set up for lane swimmers (slow, medium and fast) and the rest is just for people taking a dip. What this means is that often, like when I visited today during school holidays, two thirds of the pool is literally dedicated to two people, whilst 30+ are squeezed in the remainder. I think you should just have a medium and fast lane, as most of the slow swimmers just go up and down the 'leisure' bit and pull their face if anyone is in their way. Or you could make the lanes narrower. The place could be amazing but just needs some small-ish amendments to make it a more functional and appealing space for families.
