  • Fabulous eateries at the waterfront. We ate at the Chinese upstairs overlooking the harbour - really fresh food/vegetables. They do lunchtime specials too. 2 lunch meals and 2 beers under $50.00. Mari...  more »
  • Yes, the District of Darling Harbour reminded me of Chartrons in Bordeaux: a maritime district (old docks, factories, etrepots, shipyards) which has experienced a deep rehabilitation and which was invested by shops, services, restaurants, while maintaining the original spirit of the place. This is Darling Harbour I liked a lot: the architecture of recent buildings, landscaping of pedestrian pathways where he made good flanner. It's a nice place, with even a nice square for children, fountains. And nearby is also the Chinese Garden of Friendship, which is definitely worth a visit.

  • Darling Harbour is vibrant and exciting. The restaurants are plentiful and affordable. Our favorite spot was Darling Quarter, which has the best playground I've ever experienced. Our 7 year old was in heaven. The climbing structures are impressive, but the most fun are the water features. Kids can move dams and different gadgets to move water around the huge installation. Dress them in a bathing suit so they can really enjoy it!
  • Lots to watch. Regular festivals and fireworks. Most food options are chain restaurants (hard Rock cafe, grilled etc) amazing dance community who jam next to the ICC (convention Centre) most nights of the week from about 8pm. Tram close by. Lots of ferries and recently a giant puppet show! I recommend coming to enjoy the sights and then walking up to China town for 🍴 dinner.
  • Slightly over over developed entertainment hub with not a lot of gritty character. But if you like being around a lot of people and have a selection of mid-range quality food and beverages then this might be your go. Great views of the city sky line and close to the Casino. There are probably more interesting places to go.
  • Awesome place for having a good time with family or friends. Lots of harbour side restaurants available and a great mall as well. The ships outside the maritime museum are stunning. The Sydney skyscrapers view looks pretty cool from here in the light of setting sun and of course it looks awesome at night. Park is also here for kids to have a great time. Overall wonderful place for enjoyment even with less burden on wallet.
  • Great place to stay and enjoy the view of the ⚓ harbor. Stayed at the Park Royal hotel just a walking distance away so I get the best views of the harbor both in the morning and evening during my stay there. Darling Harbor is also a popular spot for tourist to visit as such you will find all sort of nationality gathering there especially in the evening as the place turns into a chill out spot.
