King Street Wharf is a nice place to go for a maritime experience strolling around the iconic Sydney Harbour. You may encounter crowds of people who are gathering to go onto the water on a lunchtime cruise but this just adds to the lively feel and atmosphere of this public space. Wynyard train station is only minutes away so the Wharf is easily accessible by public transport. You could even travel though it on your way to Darling Harbour. This is a great place to meet up with friends and then go out onto the water with one of the companies offering lunchtime cruise experiences.
Went for a cruise. Didn't want to bother thinking about parking so we took the train, Wynyard station was pretty close by, I think it was a ten minute walk or so. Then we just walked down the wharf to find our boat and the rest of the night was really fun
