Starting at a height of 250 m (820 ft) above the ground, Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck provides outstanding panoramic views of the city and its harbor. Sydney Tower Eye Observation Deck Reviews
more »It will be a tower more than 300 meters high in the heart of Sydney. It's the tallest building in Sydney, so you can see it from almost anywhere, so it's a landmark in Sydney. Admission costs close to $30, but if you buy a common ticket with other facilities in the area, you can also get a good deal.
Enjoyed the view, but the staff didn't seem able to run it efficiently. Queues for tickets were moving really slowly, and we had to wait 30 mins to get a lift down once we'd finished. We had our photo... more »
“Happy birthday babe.” Said my wonderful girlfriend, as she pushed her hand through my greying hair. Luckily, our tickets hadn’t expired, but unfortunately the tag on our car had. We’d been in line for what could’ve been months... even years. I wanted to YouTube whatever new music had come out since I’d been in line, but my phone plan had expired because I had to call in sick for a few weeks at work just to keep my place in line. When the checks stopped coming, the bill never got paid. I miss my family. It was a joy watching all the wonderful kids grow up to become young adults in that line. The last time I looked at little Joey, he was in the middle grades, now he was growing his first moustache. Thank god the rest of Australia is all about helping each other, so the relief effort rations poured in over the years. Thankfully, the Australian government redirected some of the “Indonesia needs more planes and bombs” Tax fund towards the Sydney Tower relief effort. Luckily, I had used amazon prime to order furniture before the newest iPhone came out (twice). And that is how I came to live in Sydney tower. Sincerely, Still waiting to get to the top.
Given the price, this tower is not a necessary attraction to visit in Sydney. The Opera House is barely visible from the top. There are better places to admire the panorama of Sydney. I would recommend Harbour Bridge Walk (the pedestrian walkway is open and free of charge) and you can climb the Pylon Lookout for a fraction of the price of the Tower Eye.
