Old Tailem Town Pioneer Village Reviews
This is an interesting place. It’s dead and a bit creepy. It would help if it was not pricey. I mean it’s in the middle of nowhere so they probably needed the pricey ticket. But yeah it’s ok. more »
Very rundown, not worth the $25 admission Everything is dirty and let go Was very disappointed Needs a lot of money spent on it to bring it to life more »
The best pioneer village I have visited, ever! Spent few hours there when it was 40 degrees outside. But would spend much more. Really, really great place to see the history and the life of people 100+ years ago. All buildings keep their charm and old reality. Would definitely recommend to all. Thanks to the hosts who built this place.
Old Tailem Town is one of those places on the Adelaide to Melbourne road trip, you always mean to get to one day. And this year, we finally made it to Old Tailem Town. The detail and effort put in, really is incredible. You do get a real feel for the way people used to live, and how tough life was back in those times. There are schools, shops, houses, vehicles, churches, and heaps more to wander through. To really do it justice, you need at least half a day, but I would suggest a full day. It's really informative, educational and hands on. You wont regret dropping in. PS Have your cash ready, as there is no eftpos available to pay the entry charge.
