New South Wales Rail Transport Museum Reviews
My young son loves trains so I promised to take him to the NSW Train Museum while visiting NSW from interstate. One and a half hours by train to get to Picton Station. Expensive but nice trip. No Opal... more »

Shout out to Tracey, amazing patron at the reception. Keep your student card handy for concession entry at $10 (Adults). Wonderful experience and a recommended day trip with family from Sydney. Has tons of history to show; dating all the way back to 1869. Usual trip to this Museum, I would say give atleast 3 hours if planning your trip. There is a cafe inside, you can have some quick snacks and coffee in designated area. You really won't have lots of souvenir options here which is a downside, wish they had some locomotive models at a reasonable price. Overall, 5 star experience. Totally recommended.
Great place to experience older trains and learn about the history. Nice facility with lots for the kids to see and do. Historic train rides on the weekends. Not the best place to visit if you don’t like walking
