  • Who would have thought there were unique dinosaurs found in Australia? And recently? This is a world class active dig museum and well worth taking the family to visit. You will need a hat and a water bottle though. Outside it's very hot!
  • Wonderful experience. Drove in from Longreach and turnoff appears suddenly just before Winton. Excellent and informative tours, viewed the recently discovered fossils and traveled to the canyon on one of the buses. Excellent views from the top of the plateau, plenty of fossils and life size replicas. Bit of a steep drive up on gravel road (was in the progress of being sealed when we went, but I believe it is now bitumen all of the way), but well worth it.
