Named after Lord Byron's grandfather, Byron Bay is not only famous as the easternmost point of Australia, but even more so as one of the liveliest vacation spots in the country.
Visiting David Fleay Wildlife Park and Bundjalung National Park will get you outdoors. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Burleigh Heads Beach and Coolangatta Beach. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Byron Bay: Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary (in Currumbin), Whian Whian State Conservation Area (in Whian Whian) and Tropical Fruit World (in Duranbah). Next up on the itinerary: enjoy the sea views from Cape Byron Lighthouse, take some stellar pictures from Broken Head Nature Reserve, hike along Cape Byron Walking Track, and look for all kinds of wild species at Pat Morton Lookout.

Merimbula Merimbula is a town on the Merimbula Lake, located on the Far South Coast or Sapphire Coast of New South Wales, Australia. Step out of the city life by going to Short Point Recreation Reserve and Tathra Beach. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Ben Boyd National Park and Pambula Beach. Explore Merimbula's surroundings by going to Narooma (Dolphin & Whale Watching & Montague Island). There's lots more to do: look for all kinds of wild species at Potoroo Palace, admire the natural beauty at Tathra Memorial Gardens Walk, and take a leisurely stroll along The Merimbula Boardwalk.
