The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
On the 2nd (Sun), take in the waterfront at Darwin Wharf Precinct, then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, and then see the world from above with a helicopter tour. On the 3rd (Mon), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: examine the collection at Museum and Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, enjoy the sand and surf at Mindil Beach, and then identify plant and animal life at Crocosaurus Cove.
