One of the cities of the Barossa Valley wine-producing region, Tanunda has an easygoing atmosphere stemming from its close connection with agriculture and viniculture.
On the 19th (Sun), look for all kinds of wild species at Gorge Wildlife Park, then do a tasting at Rockford Winery, then learn about winemaking at Chateau Tanunda, and finally do a tasting at Yelland & Papps. On the next day, do a tasting at Langmeil Winery, do a tasting at Peter Lehmann Wines, then do a tasting at Murray Street Vineyards, and finally learn about winemaking at Whistler Wines.

Getting from Clare to Tanunda by car takes about 1.5 hours. In May, plan for daily highs up to 22°C, and evening lows to 11°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 20th (Mon) early enough to drive to Glenelg.

On the 21st (Tue), enjoy the sand and surf at Glenelg Beach, then stroll through Henley Beach, and then steep yourself in history at Old Gum Tree Reserve.

Drive from Tanunda to Glenelg in 1.5 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of bus, train, and tram; or take a bus. In May, daytime highs in Glenelg are 22°C, while nighttime lows are 11°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 21st (Tue) so you can travel to Kangaroo Island.
