Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Visit Hobart Convict Penitentiary and Cascade Brewery for their historical value. Attractions like Tasmanian Devil Unzoo and Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary make great kid-friendly stops. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at Mawson's Hut Replica Museum, steep yourself in history at Salamanca Arts Centre, kick back and relax at Seven Mile Beach, and stroll through Bellerive Beach.

Singapore, Singapore to Hobart is an approximately 14-hour flight. You can also do a combination of bus and flight. The time zone changes from Singapore Time to Australian Eastern Standard Time (Tasmania), which is usually a 2 hour difference. Start off your visit on the 6th (Thu): meet the residents at Seahorse World, look for all kinds of wild species at Platypus House, then get engrossed in the history at Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre, then stop by Goaty Hill Wines, and finally do a tasting at Holm Oak Vineyards.
