Lying in the Tamar Valley and surrounded by forested hills, the grid-patterned city of Launceston boasts shaded avenues, vibrant street life, and a cosmopolitan atmosphere.
Get a sense of the local culture at Brickendon Colonial Farm Village and Beaconsfield Mine & Heritage Centre. You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at St Marys Cranks and Tinkerers and Tasmanian Copper & Metal Art Gallery.
