The smallest of Australia’s state capitals, Darwin has nevertheless become an attractive and important urban center, being simultaneously one of the country’s most modernized cities and a gateway to both the Top End region and South East Asia.
On the 6th (Fri), examine the collection at Museum & Art Gallery of the Northern Territory, then tour the pleasant surroundings at Mindil Beach, and then identify plant and animal life at Crocosaurus Cove. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 7th (Sat): examine the collection at Defence of Darwin Experience, then cool off at Wave Lagoon, and then take in the waterfront at Darwin Wharf Precinct.
