Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Start off your visit on the 22nd (Sun): take in nature's colorful creations at Royal Tasmanian Botanical Gardens, identify plant and animal life at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, snap pictures at Richmond Bridge, then take in the waterfront at Constitution Dock, and finally get to know the fascinating history of Battery Point Sculpture Trail. Keep things going the next day: indulge in some culinary diversions at a local gastronomic tour.

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
Explore hidden gems such as Friendly Beaches and Wineglass Bay. Your itinerary includes some good beach time at Honeymoon Bay and Wineglass Bay Lookout. Step out of Coles Bay with an excursion to East Coast Natureworld in Bicheno--about 32 minutes away. There's still lots to do: take in the waterfront at Coles Bay Jetty, take in the exciting artwork at Waubs Bay Gallery, and get up close to creatures of the deep with a dolphin and whale watching tour.
