Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Thu): identify plant and animal life at Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and then admire the masterpieces at Lady Franklin Gallery. On the 3rd (Fri), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: enjoy the sand and surf at Opossum Bay Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Kingston Beach, then take a stroll through North Hobart, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Seven Mile Beach.
