Coles Bay

Overlooking one of Tasmania's most scenic strips of coastline and serving as the gateway to Freycinet National Park, Coles Bay is home to just 500 permanent residents.
Kids will appreciate attractions like Freycinet National Park and East Coast Natureworld. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Nature & Wildlife Tours and Cape Tourville Lighthouse. Step out of Coles Bay to go to Swansea and see Melshell Oysters, which is approximately 46 minutes away. The adventure continues: relax in the rural setting at Freycinet Marine Farm, take a leisurely stroll along Coles Bay Jetty, and do a tasting at Gala Estate Vineyard.
