Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 16th (Fri): browse the collection at Albany Public Library, then pause for some photo ops at Desert Mounted Corps Memorial, then enjoy the sand and surf at Emu Point, and finally tour the pleasant surroundings at Little Beach. Keep things going the next day: admire all the interesting features of Replica of the Brig Amity, stroll through Middleton Beach, then examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, and finally admire the landmark architecture of The Church of Saint John the Evangelist.

Denham is the administrative town for the Shire of Shark Bay, Western Australia. On your second day here, take in the waterfront activity at Shark Bay and then meet the residents at Ocean Park Aquarium.
