Snaking up the side of a rounded, tree-dotted hill, Hobart sits between Tasmania’s sprawling mountains and the vast estuary of the River Derwent.
Step off the beaten path and head to Puddleduck Vineyard and St. David's Cathedral. Get a sense of the local culture at Cascades Female Factory Historic Site and Museum of Old and New Art. Change things up with a short trip to The Sensory Tasmania in Richmond (about 30 minutes away). And it doesn't end there: take a stroll through Sullivans Cove, make a short side trip with Day Trips, pick up some local products at Farm Gate Market, and do a tasting at Moorilla Estate Winery.
