Resting on the northern coast of Philip Island, Cowes is sandwiched between a coast and a forest.
On the 26th (Tue), stroll through Cape Woolamai Beach, step off the mainland to explore Churchill Island, and then get in on the family fun at A Maze'N Things. On your second day here, look for all kinds of wild species at Phillip Island Wildlife Park and then stroll through Somers Beach.

You can drive from Melbourne to Cowes in 2 hours. Alternatively, you can do a combination of train and bus; or do a combination of train and taxi. In February in Cowes, expect temperatures between 30°C during the day and 17°C at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 27th (Wed) early enough to travel to Wilsons Promontory National Park.
