Margaret River

A low-rise, laid-back town of approximately 4,500 inhabitants, Margaret River serves as an ideal local base to explore the surrounding wine region.
You'll find plenty of places to visit near Margaret River: Meelup Beach (in Dunsborough) and Busselton Jetty (in Busselton). Spend the 25th (Fri) on a tasty journey with a beer tour and tasting. There's still lots to do: let your taste buds guide you at a local gastronomic tour, Head underground at Lake Cave, and stop by Gabriel Chocolate.

Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Mon): enjoy the sand and surf at Misery Beach, then explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, and then kick back and relax at Greens Pool. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: don't miss a visit to Albany Wind Farm, then examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, and then kick back and relax at Little Beach.
