Founded as a military outpost in 1826, Albany is the oldest town in Western Australia, just barely gaining this title by being settled two years earlier than Fremantle and Perth.
You'll discover tucked-away gems like Replica of the Brig Amity and Western Australian Museum - Albany. There's lots more to do: examine the collection at National Anzac Centre, explore the striking landscape at The Gap and Natural Bridge, contemplate the long history of Princess Royal Fortress, and make a trip to Padre White Lookout.
